Luxury Escape in a Hawaiian Island Paradise

Standard DreamTrip
Explore more when you stay at top-rated beach resorts on Oahu and Maui islands during an exclusive adventure filled with expert-led tours, incredible cuisine, immersive cultural experiences and other amazing activities. Book by October 30.

About Your Trip

Welcome to Hawaii, a remote tropical paradise where history, culture and natural beauty combine for the perfect holiday destination. Unforgettable guided experiences will illuminate and delight as you traverse the islands of Oahu and Maui on this DreamTrip for guests ages 5 years and older. Highlights include a visit to Pearl Harbor’s USS Arizona Memorial, sightseeing in Lahaina Historical District, a visit to a working pineapple farm and two farm-to-table culinary experiences. On Day 6, you can even customize your journey, choosing from snorkeling or exploring around a dormant volcano. What will you decide?

What we love:

  • This trip includes a flight from Oahu to Maui, round-trip airport transfers and all ground transportation so you don’t have to worry about a thing.
  • Maui has consistently been voted “Best Island in the World” by Conde Nast Traveler and Travel + Leisure magazine readers and offers a variety of inviting beaches and attractions. Formed from a volcanic eruption beneath the sea, each island here is essentially the top of a mountain peak that’s covered in craters, valleys, waterfalls, rainforests and beaches.
  • Through the Hawaiian Legacy reforestation program, you’ll have the opportunity to make a difference and help heal the local ecosystem by planting a native tree.

Skip the lines at Pearl Harbor National Memorial and see the displays at its fascinating museums that tell the story of the Pearl Harbor attack and World War II. From the visitor center, you’ll shuttle by boat to the magnificent USS Arizona Memorial set above the sunken battleship — the final resting place of 1,102 sailors and Marines. Continue to the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, which honors U.S. armed forces service members who lost their lives in WWII, the Korean War, or the Vietnam War. After time for reflection at the site, return to Waikiki and spend the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 3 (Honolulu)

Today, you’ll explore Oahu on an exciting island tour. Take in epic views of Oahu’s rugged eastern coast from Nuuanu Pali Lookout toward Kaneohe Bay — the only bay in Hawaii with a barrier reef! — Windward Coast and the valley below. Hug the coastline on a scenic drive, where you’ll be amazed by the steep cliffs of the Koolau Range. Then, make travel matter when you join an eco-tour in the Hawaiian Legacy forest and plant a native milo tree while a local expert explains how you’re helping to heal the ecosystem. Savor a sustainably sourced, farm-to-table lunch outdoors, overlooking the North Shore. Continue to Sunset Beach, known for big wave surfing during winter months. Visit Haleiwa, a laidback community brimming with boutiques, restaurants, galleries and more — why not grab a shaved ice and stroll around? Once you return to the resort, the rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 4 (Honolulu to Lahaina)

Fly to Kahului on Maui island, a lush tropical paradise. You’ll visit the historically significant Iao Valley State Monument to view the iconic 1,200-foot (366-meter) Iao Needle and hear more about the Battle of Kepaniwai fought here in 1790. Walk around in Lahaina — once a whaling port and plantation settlement — while your Travel Director points out highlights of the town’s historic district, before continuing to your oceanfront resort. For your dining pleasure, you can choose the dine-around options at any of the resort’s acclaimed restaurants, or opt for the traditional Wailele Luau experience, complete with hula dances, songs, fire-dancing and a wonderful selection of Polynesian delights.

Visit Hali’imaile General Store for an outstanding farm-to-table lunch (with wine) full of locally sourced produce. After lunch, you’ll venture to one of Hawaii’s last working pineapple farms with a fun and knowledgeable local expert. Discover the deep impact these plantations had on the islands and sample some of the delectably sweet Maui Gold® pineapple variety. Return to your resort on Kaanapali Beach, where you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy at your leisure.
